PHS

We are the school library in Pleasanton Public Schools, a K-12 school located in central Nebraska.

About

Our school library serves students and staff in grades PK-12. We are open every school day during normal school hours. Our 7th and 8th grade students have daily scheduled classes in the library. Our PK-6th grade students come to the library for class each week. Students can check out books anytime during the school day.

Pleasanton's library program provides a wide range of accessible print and electronic resources that expand opportunity for learning, contribute to information literacy, support the local curriculum, and enhance and enrich learning experiences for all students. The program provides materials through onsite and electronic access that complement, supplement, and enrich curriculum and instruction. It facilitates research, supports and encourages personal interest reading and the study of current events, and develops technological and other skills for accessing, evaluating, and using resources.

Gabe, Trish, Mike and Abby. Fergie and Bruno!

A note from Mrs. Heins:

I am excited to start my first year in the school and library in Pleasanton. I previously worked for ten years in Kearney Public Schools and also Boone and Bettendorf Schools in Iowa. I grew up in David City Nebraska and I'm a graduate of UNL and the University of Iowa. I live in Kearney with my husband Mike and two Boston Terriers, Fergie and Bruno. My son Gabe attends the University of Nebraska - Lincoln and my daughter Abby is at the University of Nebraska - Kearney. I've been a life-long Husker fan and I'm also a Pittsburgh Penguins hockey fan. I enjoy reading all types of books but historical fiction novels are my favorite.
