It will be a fun week with yummy breakfast options and special guests each day to celebrate "National School Breakfast Week."
There will be a youth softball and baseball sign-up meeting on Tuesday, March 7 in the commons area at 6:30 pm. A $30 participation fee will be due at the time of signup. Any current Girls in Kindergarten thru 12th grade & Boys Kindergarten thru age 15 may participate. A parent needs to attend the meeting, but youth participants do not. There will not be a sign-up sheet sent home this year, so plan to attend the meeting if you have children participating this summer. Thank you!
Pleasanton Families, Unfortunately, many of you may have heard some of the media reports today that central Nebraska schools are the focus of a “Swatting” Hoax from individuals outside of our community. These threats typically are called into law enforcement communications centers and not the actual targeted school. Pleasanton Public Schools has not currently been targeted but some larger schools in the area have been (Kearney, Hastings). We have been in contact with the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office and all school staff have been made aware of the situation. Please know the safety of your children is our number one priority. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Thank you, Nathan Lightle

Here are some testimonials from our Pleasanton Elementary Teachers!
"Throughout the past couple of years with the SchoolStore fundraiser and donations that were made via gift cards to my classroom from students' families and friends, I have been able to purchase a great amount of items to use within my classroom. Last year I was able to get more STEM activities for the students to use their imagination and creativity to build items , new art supplies as well as other items used for everyday learning. The Pre-K students have also been able to use funds toward our Pumpkin Patch Field trip, which is always a highlight for the students and myself. I am extremely grateful for all of the donations that our classrooms and school receive to give back to the students. Thank you! "
"With the SchoolStore fundraiser I have been able to purchase a variety of chairs that the students may utilize during learning, materials to support instruction and educational indoor recess items. Having the ability to purchase these items for our classroom is greatly appreciated. "
"I am usually able to get supplies that we use in the classroom that we wouldn't otherwise have for each student. For example, I get whiteboards and erasers for each student."
"Over the past few years, the amount of gift cards I have received from the school store to use in my classroom is amazing! With those gift cards, I have been able to purchase multiple types of flexible seating for my classroom, school supplies so that parents don't have to purchase them, a new listening center with headphones for my classroom, and lots of other items. Your support is greatly appreciated!"

There was plenty of love to go around last week on Valentines Day! From decorated boxes, candies, & singing Valentines from our Choir, it was a day full of fun!
It was a hard fought game last night in Litchfield, with the Spartans advancing over the Bulldogs. Coach Drew graduated in 2002 from Pleasanton, so luckily we still have a Bulldog in the fight! Congrats Coach!
Read Across America Week is next week!! Parents look at each day's theme and encourage your kiddo(s) to participate. It will be a fun week!

IMPORTANT INFO FOR FRIDAY @ MCCOOL JUNCTION:
For the Girl's District Basketball game on Friday at McCool Junction, please enter through the Preschool entrance, which is just to the East of the main gym doors. They will have some cones near the preschool entrance, so you know where to go.
This will help McCool Junction keep water and dirt/mud off of their floor, as everyone will have to walk down a couple of carpeted hallways to enter the gym. You can sit on the North side of the gym closest to the American flag, and students can sit behind our team bench on the north side. They will do their best to get everyone into the gym. They will have an area set up in their cafeteria with the live stream playing on a large TV. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact Pleasanton Public Schools.
Can't make the game in Litchfield tonight? Support the boys in Subdistrict Basketball action by watching live! GO DAWGS!!
